RIP Ruby

My baby has been totaled. I just got the call. The frame is "crushed". I have to go clean her out.

This hurts more than I ever thought possible. She was my constant through the break up. She was my closet while couch surfing. She was my breakfast table on the drive to work. She was beautiful.

I guess I'm getting a new car for Christmas.
Yay, me.

Oh Rae, I'm so sorry to hear about Ruby. I never got to ride in her :-(

I hope you're able to find another car you love just as much for (your new) life out here!

Hugs,
Nancy

This is just too obvious to leave alone, given the date of your posting...Imagine me singing (well, imagine someone that can actually sing) "Goodbye Ruby Tuesday". Kenny Rogers, I think.

and kisses, Bob. (in a air-kiss kind of way)

"Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday" was from the Rolling Stones. Kenny Rogers sang "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town."

Both are appropriate to the loss of a loved one.

Sorry Bink!!! I know what it's like to have a car that you love totaled. I was not ready to get rid of my Honda Civic several years ago.....you'll find something new that you love!!!

I am so sorry! Not the way to get a new car, and a crappy way to lose your baby.
My condolences-
Trixie

Having had the privilege of driving Ruby twice, and seeing the picture of you and her together, I know how upset you are. But you will find another one that will be just as special, in another way. Can't wait to find out what it's (his/her) name will be. Think of it this way: You do have a NEW LIFE OUT THERE, so maybe it was meant to be. I'm just glad Ruby took the bullet for you and you didn't get hurt! Love You. MM
