Random Thoughts

TBFE is not alone when he says it's been a shitty week. Something is outta whack and I'm about sick of it. Dinner and dancing tonight with a bunch gals may be just what I need to get back on track.

**********

Speaking of TBFE, he is now feeding me vitamins. Kayleigh witness this last week and said to me, "He spoils you."

Yes, he does.

And the vitamins he feeds me turn my pee neon yellow. Apparently, that's normal.

**********

The smell of Top Raman noodles, chicken flavor, remind me of daytime TV. Must have eaten these alot when I was home during the summer.

Yes, I'm still eating Top Raman for lunch. Six for $1. I'm on a budget.

**********

Ruby is STILL in the shop and I miss her terribly. The mechanic tells me that replacing the cables is tedious work and he's been careful and thorough. I believe him. He's also going to go ahead and replace the rear brake pads. I made some calls, chatted on some car forums and came to the conclusion that the quick wear of the brake pads may not be a warranty issue. It may just be a cheap brake pads/city driving/using my parking brake alot issue.

Whatever. I don't have the energy to care at this point.

But I owe my co-worker Cathi many drinks for carting me to and from work all week. She's a lifesaver.

Our housewarming/now engagement party redux is tomorrow night. Damn Snowpocalypse '08. We did have five people show up at the originally scheduled party last month. They all lived within a mile of us. Hopefully there will be no weather related catastrophes tomorrow.

And hopefully I will be a bit more chipper.

My Holy-Crap-I'm-Actually-Getting-Married wedding spreadsheet now has eight tabs. Venue, caterer, guests, vendors, lodging, questions to ask, oot guests and misc. There's pretty colors, too.

Wedding planner? I don't need no stinkin' wedding planner!

**********

I filled out the paperwork for a passport.
No, I don't have one.

Now I just need to get the photo taken (while I am blemish free) and take it to the post office. Apparently, you can get your passport there.

The Superbowl is coming up and I'm so sad that I don't care. But I'll root for the Cardinals. Cause....well, you know why.

mercury is in retrograde which messes a lot of things up, could explain your week. Don't worry after 2/1 it will go back to normal...

Ah ha! Gawd bless you, anonymous. I had thought of that, but didn't look it up. Makes sense now.

I have added the dates that Mercury will be in retrograde to our google calendar so we can have a little warning next time.

And luckily, the wedding date does not fall during one of these events. Whew.

Cause I would move the date. I mean it.

I was just looking at said Google calendar, and found all these new references to Mercury retrograde. Can't tell you how overjoyed I am to see that one starts on my birthday.

Sigh.

Rae-Rae, I love you my sweet banana, but it's 'a lot', two words. (Yes, you can hit me upside the head with a 2x4! :D )

Passport: you can get your picture taken and get the forms, but they won't give you the completed beauty. You still have to send everything in and wait 2 wks to a month. $15 for the pix (cheaper elsewhere, tho', if you're feeling budget-conscious), and $100 for a new passport ($75 book, $25 execution [whatever the heck that is]).

Have a wonderful party, and safe journeys! xo!

Its about freaking time you got your passport.
Cant believe you made me go by myself to get mine.
To expand upon Lucy's comments:
If you are in your old hood, head to Ballard Camera to get your photo. I want to say $12 and the guy is fabulous. He takes a few so you can choose, so you dont get stuck with one that makes you look like you should be at home sick in bed or smoking something that you shouldnt be.
Then you can walk to the library and in the front office area is an office you can get your paperwork. And yes you get to mail it in and wait. Its a bit unromantic I am afraid. For the love of Pete, its about time.
xo,
j
ps... damn Mercury

You guys are so funny. :) You should just be like me and pay no attention whatsoever to mercury in retrograde (I had never heard of that but I did google it) or your horoscope. Less to worry about that way.
Good luck with the passport, it's very easy to get. I'm assuming you'll need it for a honeymoon??

OK I missed, when is the big wedding?

And I want to hug Lucy for the "a lot" comment. I had the same thought but was too chicken to post.

We were just married 1.5 yrs ago so if you need tips let me know.

To Carrie & Lucy, thanks alot for your comments. Heehee.

I tend to use it both ways, correct or not. If you notice too, I also say wala (instead of the correct spelling voila), gawd (instead of God) and ain't (even though it makes some people twinge).

You could exhaust yourself editing me.....I'm just sayin'.... ;-)

I say 'gawd' too - but that's just 'cause I don't want to offend anyone. I'm a Unitarian.
