From CNN:
Sleep More, Lose Weight, Study Says
Ah ha!!
So if I can get 10 hours of sleep every night, then I should hit my goal weight of 98lbs in no time!!
Kidding. Kind of.
I think the actual logic behind it is it's probably just let time you're awake to eat.
Right?

Sleeping as a form of weightloss is a method I fully support! On average, a body burns 100 calories per hour while sleeping - sleep 10 hours, burn 1000 calories. Easy peasy!

It's one my "excuses" for my weight right now. Kids wake me up almost every night. It has something to do with the hormones in your body. Less sleep = feeling more hungry and overeating.
