And that episode about the tv was hilarious and right on the money. I thought I was drowning when I took an 'advanced' social media class, basically to learn how to tie all these different internet things together with a tidy little e-bow.

After a couple of questions which exposed my painfully inadequate expertise the instructor looked at me with a touch of exasperation and said, "You clearly don't know HTML very well."

"Of course not," I responded, "that's why I'm here."

"Learning HTML is the beginner's class."

Well excuse me all to h-ll! I'll just have to hire a nine year old to put up my fan page.Robert L Pacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14568125549017100691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17701989.post-53088144427065909592010-01-23T15:16:13.867-08:002010-01-23T15:16:13.867-08:00I hear ya, babe. My sweetie once included a $2 bill as part of a payment for a pair of socks. The girl behind the counter thought it was fake, argued with him about it, then called over the manager when sweetie insisted it was real. The manager told her it *was* real, rolling his eyes. Don't think she lasted long there after that.

As for technology - I grew up here in Silicon Valley, so I'm used to tech growing in leaps and bounds. Every time you blink, something's been 'improved', 'updated', or just plain 'invented'. I'm a slave to tech - you'll have to pull my smartphone, mp3 player, and PS3 (Netflix streaming!) out of my cold, dead hands. And I LOVE how Vuze now lets you stream from your laptop to your PS3.
